PDP frontal organizations to start mass contact program

JAMMU, Oct 1: S  Rangil Singh, vice president PDP, held a meeting today with the heads of frontal organizations of the party and asked the wing heads to start their mass contact program and membership drive by forming their district units so as to take the message of the party amongst the people.
Capt Anil Gour, chairman Ex-Serviceman Wing, Satpal Singh Charak, chairman Kissan Wing & Suresh Sharma, Chairman Trade Union wing took part in the meeting and also discussed the current situation and its fallout on the masses of the State.
Capt Anil Gour wanted suitable rehabilitation under the State facilities of SRO 43 to the families of martyrs’ of the Armed forces. He also asked the vice president to take up the matter of ex-gratia payments to the families of the martyrs. He said that special recruitment drive for Ex-servicemen in the State, Police and other departments including the Forest Protection Force, should be undertaken.
Satpal Charak emphasized that the relief of 150 corer already passed in the budget has still not been passed to the farmers in their Kissan Credit Cards and the banks were now putting un-necessary pressure for repayments. He also brought out the need to establish Grain Mandis for the sale of Basmati 370 and Coarse Basmati rice to enable the farmer get remunerative price and not do any distress sales.
Suresh Sharma requested that the 7th pay commission should be implemented at the earliest. He also wanted removal of the pay anomalies of the Clerical cadre, adjustment of the Master promotees in Education Department in 2014, Regularization of all Daily Wagers who have completed 7 yrs, etc.
S  Rangil Singh assured that all these points would be put across to the party leadership to get them resolved at the earliest. He emphasized that due to the current turmoil in the Kashmir valley, trade and business has suffered immensely in Jammu region and the business community has had to undergo huge loss.  “This has led to its inherent problems of non-servicing of Credit limits & Loans thereby the danger of their falling in the NPA category. For this the State Govt has already approached the RBI to grant a waiver in their norms so that the business community is not burdened by additional problems due to no fault of theirs,” he added.
