PDP feed back meetings on Jan 31, Feb 3

JAMMU, Jan 23: As the suspense continues over Government formation in Jammu and Kashmir, the People’s Democratic Party has now decided to take feed back of the party functionaries and Legislators for mulling further course of action.
According to the sources in PDP circles, two separate meetings in this connection have been scheduled to be held for Kashmir and Jammu leaders on January 31 and February 3, respectively.
However, no decision has yet been taken on holding the much awaited PDP Legislature Party meeting for electing the leader, sources added.
The district and block presidents, MLAs, MLCs as well as all the contesting candidates of PDP  from  Kashmir province will attend  January 31 meeting, which will be chaired by the party president Mehbooba Mufti at the PDP headquarters in  Srinagar, sources informed.
During the scheduled meeting, the party functionaries and legislators will deliberate over performance of then PDP-BJP alliance Government, Agenda of Alliance and success as well as failure in implementation of the same during the last 10 months.  Main objective of  holding the meeting is to take  feed back  on   the party performance while being in power in coalition with BJP, so that  further course of action vis-à-vis Government formation in Jammu and Kashmir may be planned , sources explained.
On February 3, a similar meeting under the chairmanship of Mehbooba Mufti, will be held at PDP headquarters in Shastri Nagar Jammu, which shall be attended by the party legislators, contesting candidates, district and block presidents from Jammu province.
Pertinent to mention that despite repeated statements by BJP leaders that Mehbooba Mufti was acceptable to them as the Chief Minister, the PDP has not opened its cards even after more than two weeks since the death of then Chief Minister Mufti Mohd Sayeed and consequent imposition of Governor’s Rule in J&K.
