JAMMU, July 15: Dr Manohar Lal Sharma,  former Minister and general secretary PCC ,  has strongly   condemned  the PDP-BJP Government for its wrong policies, which led to present crisis in the State and loss of 36 human lives besides injuries to more that 4000, including 1200 security men.
“The entire Government machinery has failed in total to deal with the situation as well as to protect the life and properties of Government and civilians,” he alleged in a statement, issued here today.
Terming the Kashmir situation as worst ever, Dr Manohar Lal further said that there was complete failure of the   Government while it did not pay heed to the inputs from intelligence agencies, which had warned against release of 634 stone pelters, who further fuelled the fire, which was already sparked by the incoming of surrendered militants via Nepal route on the recommendation of State Government and permission of Central Government.
Dr Sharma also strongly criticized the role of Pakistan Government and its agencies in spreading violence in Kashmir through a well designed model by taking the help from the terror network of Hizbul Mujahideen supremo Syed Salahudin and Lakhvi to destabilize the State.  “BJP- PDP has fallen prey to these evil designs of Pakistan and failed to assess the gravity of the situation,” he said and drew attention towards recent incidents of alleged slackness of BJP over national security.
Dr Manohar Lal Sharma also expressed his serious concern over the failure of Government in ensuring smooth conduct of Amarnath Yatra and providing full security to the pilgrims. He appealed to the different sections of society to maintain peace and adopt the path of dialogue for solving all issues instead of taking to streets.
