PDD daily wagers threaten stir from June

JAMMU, May 24: All J&K PDD Daily Wagers Union has threatened stir if the Government does not issue a formal order by May 31 on regularization of all the daily wagers who have completed seven years in the department.
Decision in this regard was taken during a meeting of the union, held today under the leadership of Kulbir Singh and Kulbhushan Singh.
The meet alleged that the Government was adopting dilly dallying attitude in regularization of the daily wagers despite a Cabinet decision for the same on August 30, 2012. Even the lapse of more than ten months since the Cabinet order, the PDD authorities are not taking any action for the regularization and if all the formalities in this regard are not completed by May 31, the union will be left with no option other than to resort to an aggressive strike from first week of June, the meet resolved.
The union also alleged that despite release of Rs 6.4 crore for payment of all the pending dues of Need Based employees of PDD, not even a single penny has been paid to these workers.
The meeting was addressed by Kulbushan Singh, Balwinder Singh, Deepak Sharma, Vikramjeet, Ramesh, Vikas, Raju Saini, Pappu, Farooq Ahmed, Brij Raj Singh, Sanjay Kumar, Surinder Kohli and others.
