PDD daily rated workers demand regularization, convening of DPC

JAMMU, July 5: The PDL,TDL Casual Laborers and Need Based Workers Union of Kashmir has urged the Government to conduct the DPC at an earliest and convert the workers having seven years service into regular establishment as per SRO 381 of PDD 81 ,against available vacancies.
In a statement issued here, today the Union said as the DPC Kashmir has invited objections vide | Circular.  No 9418 58 DPC dated13 .6 .2018, it expressed the hope that Governor N . N .Vohra will consider the request and will direct the DPC Kashmir to conduct meeting of Departmental Promotion Committee at an earliest. The Union said the workers are working in the PDD for the last 15 years and they are suffering badly.
It said these daily rated workers future is bleak in case the DPC is not convened and their services regularized.
Mohd Amin Sheikh, Union president said that there are thousands of class 4th posts vacant in the PDD & PDC against whom these daily rated workers can be adjusted after regularization.
Afroza Mir, Fayaz Ahmad the Executive Body members also stressed upon the Government especially the PDD authorities to settle their long pending issue.
The Union expressed the hope that Vohra will issue directives to concerned authorities in convening the DPC and provide justice to the daily rated workers of PDD.
