JAMMU, Nov 28: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee has strongly condemned the militants’ attack on the Panchayat representatives and others in Anantnag and Hazratbal areas and expressed shock over the loss of lives and injuries.
JKPCC chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma termed these incidents as cowardly but matter of great concern since the militants succeeded in forgetting the back to village programme of the Government amidst tight security claims of the agencies.
These attacks reflect the threat perception and vulnerability of the system, despite heavy security deployment and alertness. He expressed deep sympathy with the families of the victims and the injured and asked the Government to step up security measures especially for the political activists like PRIs.
