RAMBAN, Nov 1: A girl has been allegedly raped by a patwari in village Teli Majra, falling under the jurisdiction of Ramban Police Station.
As per police sources, a complaint has been filed by a girl hailing from village Teli Majra with Police Station Ramban stating that patwari identified as Mohammad Nayeem allegedly raped her.
The accused threatened the victim of dire consequences if she revealed the episode to anyone, the complainant stated.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 159/17 under Sections 376 RPC and 506 RPC has been registered at Ramban Police Station and investigation started.
The girl has been restored to family members after conducting medical examination and hunt has been launched to arrest the patwari.
