JAMMU, Aug 8: RS Pura police arrested a Patwari for molesting minor girl.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by family members of a minor girl with Police Station RS Pura stating that a Patwari posted in Halqa RS Pura Khas identified as Bhushan Sharma, son of Puran Chand Sharma, a resident of RS Pura molested their minor daughter.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 101/18 under Section 452 and 354 RPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POSCO) Act was registered at RS Pura Police Station and hunt was launched to nab the Patwari.
On specific information, a team from RS Pura Police Station led by SHO Inspector Bishnesh Kumar under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Sourabh Prasher, SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta arrested the patwari.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Meanwhile, Executive Magistrate 1st Class RS Pura has sought information from SHO RS Pura regarding arrest of the Patwari so as to take further action regarding his services.
