JAMMU, Mar 1: The J&K Patwar Association here today staged a protest demonstration in favour of the demands of Patwaris.
The protest in Jammu was led by Chander, Jammu district president of the Association and he informed that these protests are going on in every district of J&K.
The protesters demanded hike in pay scales of Patwaris, ban on direct recruitment of Tehsildars, construction of Patwar Khanas, creation of Patwar Halkas and Girdawar circles, timely conduct of DPCs and increase in their allowances.
Demanding security the protesting Patwaris said that terrorists have been giving them threats to burn their houses if they took part in anti-encroachment drives.
