RAMNAGAR, Mar 23: Spokesperson J&K BJP Ranbir Singh Pathania has called for fool-proof and more effective measures to check and quarantine people who have been turning up at their homes in J&K from out-of-state and out-of-country locations as there has been a global close-down.
He called for proper checking and testing facilities at various entry points via road and rail so that there is least scope for entry of the deadly pandemic.
Panthania also called for setting up of proper testing facilities in various health institutions of peripheral areas so that recurrent cases of related symptoms could be assessed and evaluated there and then. Whereas, as many as 4000-5000 people from out-of-state and out-of-country locations have entered Ramnagar since the past few days.
He has called for proper support, cooperation, and emancipation from the public side as well as identifying such people and motivating them and informing the administration and hospital authorities at the nick of time for their proper testing and rather keeping them confined to their homes for at least two weeks as a precautionary measure. He further emphasized that all stringent measures and curbs clamped by the Government are for the welfare, well-being of the people as we are living in a Government of the people, by the people and for the people.
The civil society has a very important and rather pro-active role in all that. No agency or institution of Government can perform properly without public support. And given the cosmopolitan outbreak of the pandemic and its vicious rigmarole around, crash measures and initiatives are need of the hour.
