JAMMU, Aug 21: Kavinder Gupta, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister asked the party cadre to go for concerted efforts to maintain BJP’s grip on eleven constituencies modified after the delimitation exercise as it is quite significant as far as results of the party in the ensuing elections is concerned.
The BJP stalwart leader was chairing a meeting here with senior party functionaries attending this brainstorming session to ensure that BJP makes maximum out of the changes that occurred after the culmination of delimitation exercise. Munish Sharma in charge Morchas; Priya Sethi Ex Minister; Yudhvir Sethi vice president and Vinay Gupta BJP district president also attended the meeting.
A serious thought was also given to knit the new strategy for fortifying the party’s base at booth and Mandal levels as nomenclature of the seats in the J&K has been changed altogether with additions of new areas and subtraction of existing ones taking place in many constituencies.
Kavinder said that minute detailing of every change in the constituencies and addition of electorate to new constituencies and exclusion also should be taken into account while chalking out the new strategy to ensure that more and more people connect with the party and a stronger party base is ensured under the changed scenario. He said that grassroots workers hold the key to the success of the party as always and therefore mobilizing each and every worker of the party is a must and the party leadership at booth level and Mandal level should make it happen by all means.
The meeting endorsed the points raised by Kavinder Gupta by giving the nod and the meeting came to an end with a pledge that party activists will act as the ambassadors of BJP and will do their bit to woo masses to party fold in whatever way they could to ensure historical victory of the party in all the upcoming political contests in the Union Territory of J&K.
