Paramedical employees of GMC, associated hospitals project demands

JAMMU, Feb 25: Jammu Kashmir Paramedical Employees’ Association of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu/Srinagar and associated hospitals today projected its demands and elected body during a one-day conference.
The conference was chaired by Sushil Sudan, president, Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) and was attended by hundreds of paramedical employees appointed under SRO 384/409 in GMC Jammu/Srinagar and associated hospitals.
During the conference, the employees said that in Kashmir division, the employees who have completed six-years of service are getting salary regularly whereas employees of Jammu division are without salary from last one year though are rendering their services honestly and with full dedication in GMC, SMGS Hospital, SSH, CD Hospital and Dental College.
They demanded the Government to release their pending salary immediately and henceforth ensure regular payment of salary to them on the analogy of Kashmir division employees; otherwise they would have no option except adopting the path of agitation. They also demanded that a regularization policy be framed for all the employees under SRO384/409.
While speaking on the occasion, Sushil Sudan, urged the Government to consider the demands of academic arrangement employees working under SRO 384/409 in GMC Jammu/Srinagar and associated hospitals and extended them full support of JKMEF.
Later, the association unanimously elected its body, which comprises of Gourav Sharma as president, Angrez Singh as vice president, Abhishek Sharma and Rajiv Chopra as general secretaries, Parveen, Sonika and Asha as cashiers, Mukhtar Ahmed and Sudesh Kumar as advisors, Roshi, Anil Raina and Palvi as spokespersons, and Ashwani and Wasim as media secretaries.
