JAMMU :Pakistan, on Thursday, yet again violated the ceasefire by firing unprovoked along the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Indian Army has, however, effectively retaliated to the firing.
Defence Spokesman here said that today at around 1130 hours, Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing of small arms and shelling with mortars along LoC in Shahpur, Kirni and Qasba sectors in District Poonch.
“Indian Army is retaliating befittingly,” he added.
On Wednesday also, Pakistan Army had violated the ceasefire by firing unprovoked in Poonch district. Earlier on December 9, the ceasefire was twice violated by the Pakistan Army.
On December 3, two persons including a woman were killed and eight other civilians injured during a ceasefire violation in Poonch district.
On Nov 29 also Pakistan violated the Ceasefire by firing in Balakote sector of Poonch.
