Padam Singh Manhas Memorial tourney concludes

JAMMU, Aug 4: The grand finale of the late Padam Singh Manhas Memorial Tournament was held today at Bantalab, Jammu. The tournament was organized with the objective of encouraging youth to stay away from drug abuse and motivating them to actively participate in sports.

On the occasion, Surinder Singh Gilli (Founder, YRS & BJP Leader) graced the event as the chief guest. Ex-Sarpanch Dharminder Singh and Gulam Rasool attended as the guests of honour.

Addressing the gathering, Surinder Singh Gilli said that such tournaments are of immense importance for society as they provide young people with a platform to showcase their talent while steering them away from the menace of drugs.

The final match was played between Chouhan Cricket Club and Innings Cricket Club, with Chouhan Cricket Club emerging as the champions.

Ninja was declared the Man of the Match, while Yasin received the Man of the Series award for his outstanding performance throughout the tournament.

The winning team was awarded a cash prize of Rs 51,000, while the runners-up received Rs 31,000.
