Over Rs 10 lakh recovered as fine from SOP violators

Srinagar, June 13: Continuing its efforts to curb the outbreak of the 2nd wave of Coronavirus, J&K Police today recovered Rs 10,04,490 as a fine from 5761 COVID SOP violators and arrested 10 persons across Kashmir.
Police said that they enhanced their efforts to sensitise the masses about controlling the highly contagious Coronavirus.
“During the last 24hrs, Police have arrested 10 persons, lodged 05 FIRs and also realized fine to the tune of Rs 10,04,490 from 5761 people throughout the Kashmir valley for violating the various guidelines/rules/ SOPs regarding Covid-19,” police said.
Police said that the special drive against the violators of Covid-19 guidelines continued throughout all the districts of Kashmir Valley to ensure that people adhere to SOPs envisaged by the Government to curb the COVID-19 pandemic.
