When contacted Shagufta Parveen, Chairperson, Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (SSB) said that over 1 lakh candidates appeared in the tests held today at over 100 centres across the State.
The tests were conducted smoothly across the State and no incident of unfair means was reported from any centre, she added.

Meanwhile, a large number of candidates who had applied for the posts of Forest Guard and Sub Inspectors in response to advertisement by Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) held massive protest outside DC Office along with their parents and later submitted a representation containing their grievances.
Led by BJP Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Constituency Incharge and Yuva Morcha State Prabhari Yudhvir Sethi, they apprised Deputy Commissioner about the mal-treatment meted out to them.
They urged DC to intervene and take up this serious matter with the concerned authorities and ensure that how the candidates who have been denied admit cards were being called for written test at the earliest.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) gave patient hearing to the aggrieved candidates and forwarded their representation to SSB Secretary for action.
