JAMMU, June 11: Special Mobile Magistrate Electricity, R H Mirza today awarded one year imprisonment to Bachan Singh, whose rash and negligent driving had led to death of a pedestrian Harnam Kour. “The prosecution has proved the offences beyond any shadow of doubt as prosecution witnesses examined in court have supported the prosecution story. As such accused is found guilty under Sections 279/304-A RPC”, the court said. Accordingly, the driver was awarded one year imprisonment.
