One killed, 10 injured in road accidents

UDHAMPUR, July 12: One person died and ten others were  injured in two different road accidents, here today while a pedestrian got  injured due to wind pressure of fast moving train.
According to the police reports,  a scooterist died while his pillion rider was critically injured when scooter  JK14A-1417 was  hit by a Tata Mobile  JK02B-0785  near Raj Theater Udhampur.
Police and locals rush to the spot and took the injured persons to District Hospital Udhampur, where doctors referred them to Army Hospital Udhampur. However, one of the injured, identified as Vikas Kant (35),  son of Krishan Lal of  Slathia Chowk Udhampur, succumbed to his injuries.
The other injured,  identified as Niten (36) son of Bushan of Karan Nagar,  Udhampur, was undergoing treatment at hospital.
In another road accident,   a minibus  turned turtle near Majalta resulting into injuries to nine persons.
The minibus,  bearing registration number JK14C-4508, was on  way from Manwal to Nagrota when it met with accident at village Barialta. Locals shifted  the injured persons to Primary Health Center (PHC) Majalta where four of them,  identified as Vandna (22) daughter of  Madan Lal of Majalta, Ashok Gupta (37) son of Mool Raj of Panara, Kali Devi (70) of Pakhbara and Parshotam Lal (32) son of Girdhari Lal of Nili Majalta, were referred to District Hospital Udhampur..
Other  injured were  identified as Anarjal Singh (60) son of Dharm Singh of Hira Nagar, Palbi Devi (16) daughter of  Shamshar Singh of Palater, Suman (22) wife of Pankaj Singh of Nimbla, Apdeshi (16) daughter of  Shbil Singh of Ramnagar and  Isha Mahajan (16) daughter of  Surinder Gupta of Palater
Meanwhile,    a  pedestrian was injured due to wind pressure of train while talking near the rail track  near Mian Bagh Udhampur. GRP  took the injured to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors referred him to GMC Hospital Jammu. He was identified as Shashi Pal (40) son of Satpal of Baryal,  near Mian Bagh.
