One dead, 3 missing as vehicle plunges into Drass river

DRASS, June 24 : A tragic accident occurred near Marpoochoo, when a vehicle carrying four persons lost its control and plunged into the Drass River in Kargil district of Ladakh.

According to the details, four persons were travelling in the vehicle at the time of the accident.

One occupant, Agha Syed Baqir (35), son of Syed Muslim, resident of Lankerchay, was confirmed dead after his body was recovered from Thanda Morh, Chowkiyal.

The three other occupants identified as Sajad Hussain (26), Hasina Banoo (25) and Sogra Banoo (23) remained untraced.

Rescue teams and authorities have launched a search operation in the area to trace the missing individuals.
