JAMMU: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today called on Governor N N Vohra and discussed issues related to the people living on the border areas.
Omar met the Governor at Raj Bhavan here this afternoon, and during their hour-long meeting, they discussed issues related to problems faced by people living on the border areas, a Raj Bhavan spokesman said.
Besides, budgetary matters, construction schedules for the completion of Mughal Road and the National Highway to Srinagar, incidence of fatal road accidents and various other matters relating to the growth and development of the state were also discussed in the meeting, he said.
Meanwhile, Director General Defence Estates Ravi Kant Chopra also called on the Governor and discussed several matters relating to certain defence lands which are required for pressing other needs. (PTI)
