Old Janipur’s Civil Society demands basic amenities

JAMMU, May 27: The Old Janipur Civil Society’s People Development Action Committee today held its monthly review meeting in which the Committee members discussed the basic problems being faced by them.
In a statement issued here, the Committee members said that the Mohalla Ram Vihar of Ward number 35 was lacking basic amenities such as renovation of lanes and drains, black topping of the roads including Indira Vihar, Pandokha Colony and Old Janipur area, sewerage pipes were not connected with main sewerage nallah, shifting of stray dogs etc.
They demanded that the Government should immediately construct a public bathroom with toilet complex and a shed at JDA park for performing religious rites and funeral function. “The same park should be handed over to Floriculture department for its beautification and installation of Mast lights,” they demanded.
Others who were present in the meeting included Kulwant Sambyal, Prabhudyal, Rajan Dhar, Jugmohan Singh, Kuldeep Billowaria, Brijmohan Singh, Sheel Abrol, Rakesh Jamwal, Sandeep Pariar, Mohinder Kumar, Vijay Kumar and others.
