JAMMU, May 23: Old Janipur People Development Action Committee here today held a meeting under the chairmanship of Prabhu Dayal.
The Committee members in the meeting raised demands like completion of boundary wall at Janipur park work on which was started six months back but has not yet completed.
The Committee also demanded that the park should be handed over to Floriculture Department for maintenance and upkeep.
Demand of public bathrooms along with toilet and shed near the park for facilitating the public after performing last rites and in other religious functions was also discussed in the meeting.
More demands included opening of J&K Bank branch at Old Janipur to benefit general public.
Speakers in the meeting also said that these demands were brought into the notice of concerned Advisor of the Governor but no fruitful results has been emerged so far.
Executive body members of the Committee present in the meeting were Jagmohan Singh, Rohit Abrol, Brij Mohan Singh, Anil Bhasin, Kuldip Singh, Sheel Abrol, Rakesh Jamwal and others.
