JAMMU, July 16: Retried Officers Forum urged the Lieutenant Governor to release 11 percent DA in favour of pensioner community.
The statement was made by SC Rekhi, general secretary of the Forum after the executive body meeting which was held, here today. The Forum demanded that the Government should increase Medical Allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 2000 as the pensioners were worst suffering due to steep rise of the essential commodities.
Some members also pointed out that they were depriving to get the benefits of Ayushman Yojana as their names were not mentioned in the survey list, conducted in the year of 2011 and appealed the Government to make provision, so that the left out people get the benefit of the scheme.
