NSF demands centralized placement, inquiry against Director TBS

JAMMU, May 19: National Secular Forum has appealed the Governor N N Vohra, who is Chancellor of Jammu University, to hold an inquiry against Director The Business School who was allegedly promoting favouritism and nepotism in the campus placement.
Addressing media person, here today, NSF vice-president Sukhdev Singh said that despite centralized admission for TBS, all The Business School students were not getting equal opportunities for the campus placement. “Director Versha Mehta is adopting discrimination approach towards the offsite campuses students, who are not getting equal placement opportunities,” he alleged.
“The partial behaviour of the Director is also evident in the course management of MBA-IB which is also a part of MBA programme but students of the course are not being involved in any academic programme or workshop,” the NSF leader added.
Highlighting some other instances of mismanagement and irregularities by the Director The Business School, the NSF leader alleged that the departmental conference hall was being availed for the private functions but not allowed to be used for departmental affairs.
“Director of The Business School is indulged in financial irregularities and anti-students policies while the University authorities are acting like a mute spectator to this whole drama,” he alleged and appealed the Chancellor N N Vohra and Vice-Chancellor Prof M P S Ishar to look into the matter and hold an inquiry into the misuse of students funds.
The NSF leader warned that students would launch indefinite agitation on the campus if the Vice-Chancellor does not initiate action against Director of The Business School.
