NSCC lifts Night Cricket Tournament trophy

SAMBA, Apr 19: Nar Singh Cricket Club (NSCC) defeated Green Galaxy Stars (GGS) and lifted title trophy Night Cricket Tournament, played at Govt High School Jatwal, here today.
The final match was played between Green Galaxy Stars and Narsingh Cricket Club Ghagwal. Green Galaxy Star won the toss and decided to bat first.
Batting first GGS scored 97 runs with loss of 10 wickets in 15 overs. Mithu made 22 runs, while Vinay scored 16 runs and Sourav made 13 runs. From Narsingh Cricket Club Star, Surinder got 3 wickets while Hari Om and Aditya shared 2 wickets each.
In reply, Narsingh Cricket Club chased the target till the last ball. Imran Khan made 17 off 13 balls, Surinder scored 15 runs and Aftab made 10 runs. From Green Galaxy Star Vinay got 3 wickets while Braken got one wicket thus NSCC won the match by one wicket.
Surinder Sharma from NCC was declared as man of the match and awarded with cash prize of Rs 2100 by the family members of Kirti Chakra Awardee Lt. Shaheed Sushil Khajura.
DDC chairman Samba Keshav Dutt Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion. He distributed winning trophy along with Rs 30,000 to winning team, whereas Rs 15,000 were awarded to the runner up team.
BDC Chairman Vijay Tagotra, DDC Member Ghagwal Suresh Kumar Falli, Raju Sharma, Ashwani Sharma and other sports dignitaries were also present.
