JAMMU, July 7: Miran Sahib Police arrested a notorious vehicle lifter with four stolen two wheelers.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a person namely Chandan Dogra, son of Krishna Nagar Basti Tehsil RS Pura with Police Station Miran Sahib regarding theft of his scooty from Krishna Nagar area.
To recover the stolen vehicle and to arrest the thief, a team from Police Station Miran sahib led by SHO Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq was constituted under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Singh and SP Headquarters Ramnish Gupta.
The team did strenuous efforts and by connecting various leads generated from CCTV cameras rounded up a suspect identified as Sunny Bali, son of Madan Lal Bali of Jagti at present Kotli Charkan for cross examination.
During questioning, he confessed about his involvement in the above theft case and on his disclosure stolen scooty bearing registration number JK02BF-1044 was recovered. Besides this, three more stolen two wheelers bearing registration numbers JK02BD-2763, JK02BS-1519 and one scooty without number plate were also recovered from different places of the Jammu District, which this notorious thief had stolen.
Further questioning of the arrested thief is going on to ascertain his involvement in other theft cases.
