Notorious land grabber ‘Gola Shah’ booked under PSA

JAMMU, May 26: A notorious land grabber, who was arrested by Gangyal Police around one week back, has been booked under stringent Public Safety Act (PSA) here today.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Station Gangyal led by Inspector Joginder Singh Chib under the supervision of SDPO South Sachit Sharma and SP South Mamta Sharma on May 19 this year conducted raid and apprehended a notorious land grabber.
The arrested notorious land grabber was identified as Ravinder Gupta alias Gola Shah, son of Suraj Parkash, a resident of Greater Kailash District Jammu.
He was arrested in a case registered under FIR Number 53/2022 under Sections 420, 467 and 468 IPC with Police Station Gangyal.
It is pertinent to mention here that 21 cases reportedly of land grabbing, cheating and fraudulent deals stands registered against him in various police stations.
The house he had constructed in Greater Kailash is also on encroached land, sources said.
A dossier of the cases registered against this notorious land grabber was prepared and sent to District Magistrate Jammu.
The District Magistrate Jammu today ordered detention of this notorious land grabber ‘Gola Shah’ under stringent Public Safety Act (PSA). He has been lodged in Central Jail at Kot Bhalwal in District Jammu.
