JAMMU, Sept 10: Choudhary Nazakat Khatana, State president, Gujjar and Bakarwal Desh Youth Body said that the recent ration package announced by the Government under the public distribution system for left out families is a good perspective for the poor and weaker sections of the society.
Khatana said as per the announcement, the ration would be provided to those families who were uncovered till now as per Census 2011 which will be projected from September 2015. In this announcement, nomadic Bakerwals are totally neglected and are hence racially not given any type of ration supply. They are deprived of this ration package and are not included in new Census 2011.
Jammu and Kashmir Gujjar Bakerwal Desh Youth Body has urged the Chief Minister and CAPD Minister to look into the matter and provide appropriate ration supply to these nomadic people so that poor and backward people may not suffer more.
