No fresh COVID cases in 8 Jammu distts

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/ LEH, Mar 6: Jammu and Kashmir today logged 31 COVID positive cases while the UT of Ladakh recorded 17 new cases, all in Leh district.
Eight districts in Jammu region didn’t report any fresh cases today while number of active cases in an equal number of districts in the region were in single-digit.
Fifteen cases were registered in Jammu division and 16 in Kashmir.
Among 15 cases, 13 were reported in Jammu district and two in Kishtwar while rest eight districts in Jammu region didn’t report any fresh positives.
Jammu division now has 176 active positives cases including 111 in Jammu district and 33 in Doda while either other districts have below 10 active cases.
All 17 COVID positive cases in the Union Territory of Ladakh were today reported from Leh district.
Ladakh now has 123 active positive cases—121 in Leh and two in Kargil.
Meanwhile, Kashmir reported 16 fresh cases of COVID-19.
Those who tested positive include 9 from Srinagar, Baramulla 4, Kupwara 2, Bandipora 1.
Besides, 54 COIVD-19 patients 22 from Valley- recovered during the time. So far 448139 people have recovered, leaving the active case tally at 357 including 181 in Kashmir.
