POONCH, Mar 21: The members of Sanatan Dharam Sabha and some other Hindu organizations have criticized the State Forest Department for its failure to provide fire wood for the purpose of cremation at Surankote.
The matter also came to notice when a noted social activist of Surankote area Bal Krishan Sharma passed away last night and for his cremation no fire-wood was available at the local Forest depot. The depot staff claimed that they have not been provided timber for this purpose for the last several weeks. The members of various local Hindu organizations and SD Sabha Poonch, taking serious note of the issue asked the Government to ensure supply of fire wood for the cremation of dead bodies for the community.
