JAMMU, Dec 4: Graduate Employability Test (GET), 2012, launched today by NIIT, a Global Talent Development Corporation and IT trainer, will be conducted nationwide on December 9, 2012.
The application forms for the Test can be obtained from NIIT centers across the country. Graduates in any stream can register for GET 2012 by filling the GET application form and paying a fee of Rs 299. Students can also log on to http:// www.niit.com/get to apply online and to get more details. The last date for receipt of application is December 8, 2012.
Flagging off GET 2012, chairman-cum-managing director, NIIT Franchisee, Jammu, RK Sharma, said, ” NIIT’s GET will help students to assess their employability quotient by matching their knowledge with skill sets required by the industry. Expert counseling and fee waivers on NIIT’s accelerated, placement-backed Diploma programmes will enhance the employability of students”.
Briefing about the examination, he said GET has been designed as a 100-minute objective type examination and aims to assess functional abilities and behavioral traits that make up IT aptitude, adding every student undergoing the test will receive a personalized graduate employability score-card.
He further said that GET test takers will get special fee waivers on accelerated, placement-backed Diploma offered by NIIT and complementary entry to NIIT’s exclusive mega job fair in early 2013. Candidates will also get to be a part of different Employability seminars conducted by Industry professionals.
