NEW DELHI, July 7: Nickel prices fell by 0.26 per cent to Rs 1,161.50 per kg in futures trade today as participants reduced their exposures amid a weak trend overseas.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel for delivery in August declined by Rs 3, or 0.26 per cent, to Rs 1,161.50 per kg in a turnover of 18 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in July traded lower by Rs 2.60, or 0.22 per cent, to Rs 1,155.40 per kg in 585 lots.
Traders attributed the fall in nickel prices at futures trade to a weak trend in base metals overseas.
Meanwhile, nickel decreased 0.5 per cent to USD 19,309 per tonne on the London Metal Exchange. (PTI)
