JAMMU, Nov 22:NHPC Regional Office, Jammu celebrated its 44th Raising Day today with great pomp and show at its Regional Office, Narwal, here. Chander Mohan, Executive Director presided over the function. BM Gupta, GM (Finance), S.Tirkey, GM (HR), Ramesh Kumar, GM (Civil), KL Acharyulu, GM (Finance.) & Anil Sharma, DGM (Law), senior officers, employees and their families were present on the occasion.
In his address Chander Mohan, Executive Director congratulated the employees and briefed about the achievements of NHPC Limited during the last 44 years. He also spoke about the performance of various Power Stations across the State of J&K. He further said that by developing hydro projects in the State, people are getting benefit of 12% free power. Besides, generating power, NHPC is contributing a lot towards economic upliftment of the areas near Power Stations under its CSR initiatives in the field of education, health & peripheral development, he added.
He said all the employees deserve appreciation for having contributed to the success and growth of the Company. “In the changing business scenario and tougher performance expectations from all our stakeholders, we need to renew our pledge on this day, for endeavouring to raise the bar in all areas of our functioning to enable taking our Company to the newer heights’’, he added.
The programme concluded with a musical programme which was appreciated by one and all.
