Truck driver dies in road accident

Excelsior Correspondent UDHAMPUR, Oct 14: A truck driver was killed in a roads accident on Udhampur Bypass Road this afternoon. A police spokesman said that a truck bearing registration number PB08/9847 went out of control and rolled down into a gorge near Garnai on Bypass Road. Rehmbal Police party rushed to the spot and shifted the seriously injured driver to Udhampur district Hospital, where doctors declared him as brought dead. The police has identified the deceased as Kamaljit Singh (48), son of Joginder Singh, resident of Shahpur, Punjab.
