Thajiwara Annual yatra on Aug 2

Excelsior CorrespondentSRINAGAR, July 29 : Annual festival and yatra of Pracheen cave of Lord Shiva at Thajiwara (Bijbehara), Anantnag will be held on 2nd August 2012 on the eve of Shravan-Puranmashi.According to the President Devasthan Prabandak Committee, Prof M L Malla, thousands of Kashmiri Pandit devotees from different parts the country as well as abroad are expected to participate in this annual yatra.It is pertinent to mention that this cave has a tremendous religious importance in the Valley since long and is also regarded to be a part of annual Shri Amarnath yatra.
