New Delhi, Feb 7 :� Encouraged by the new investmentfriendly climate and initiatives like Digital India,Taiwan-based electronic chip designer Media Tek expressedits interest in expanding presence in the country.While meeting with Communication and IT Minister RaviShankar Prasad, Chairman of Media Tek, M K Tsai shared hiscommitment to make technology more accessible for people.Initiatives like 'Make in India' and Smart Cities coupledwith liberalisation of defence manufacturing has created agreat demand for technology solutions and hardware in thecountry, Mr Prasad said.Young population, economical workforce and business-friendly government has made India a great investmentdestination, he added.The Minister also shared the government�s vision tocreate more IT hubs in small towns and rural areas whichwould propel the growth and bring prosperity to the lesserdeveloped parts of the country.UNI
