Security forces launch search operation in Handwara

SRINAGAR: Security forces today launched a search operation in the forests of Handwara region of Kupwara district following a tip-off about presence of militants in the area, police said here."A search operation has been launched in the Bawan forests of Handwara by security forces this morning following inputs about a group of militants in the area," a police official said.He said so far no contact has been established with the militants, who are believed to be hiding the dense forest area.
