Police foils liquor smuggling attempt

Excelsior CorrespondentKATRA, Sept 16: Foiling an attempt of liquor smuggling to the holy town, Police today arrested a bootlegger and seized 38 poly pouches of illicit liquor from his possession.Acting on specific information, Police team headed by I/C PCP Panthal, intercepted accused Inder Singh of Sarmoli, Tehsil Chenani,�� who was on way towards Katra. During his checking, the police team succeeded in recovery of 38 poly pouches measuring 250/250 ml each of J&K Excise liquor.Police arrested the accused person and seized the recovered poly pouches of liquor besides registering a case under 48-A Excise Act at Katra Police Station.
