Govt forms committee to rationalize engineering staff

Excelsior CorrespondentJAMMU, Jan 17: On the order of Lieutenant Governor G C Murmu, the UT Government today constituted a committee to rationalize engineering staff in various departments.Headed by Principal Secretary Planning, Development & Monitoring Department as its Chairman, the committee shall examine and suggest rationalizing/reorganization of engineering staff in various Government departments for efficient performance and service delivery.Administrative Secretary Public Works ( R&B) Department is Member Secretary of the committee while Administrative Secretaries of PHE/I&FC, PDD, Rural Development, Tourism Department and a representative of House and Urban Development Department are its members.The committee may co-opt any officer/experts in its deliberations as may be required.
