Fog suspends chopper service to Vaishno Devi Shrine

JAMMU : The chopper service to the Vaishno Devi shrine was suspended due to dense fog gripping the Trikuta Hills situated in Reasi district.�As dense fog covered the entire region including the Trikuta Hills, the chopper service, to the helipad for the Vaishno Devi pilgrims remained suspended since morning due to poor visibility,� a police official here said.He also advised pilgrims to be alert while performing the yatra as there was continuous rains and fog in the region.�Dense fog also disrupted roadways traffic besides helicopter service,� he said adding that the services was earlier suspended yesterday in the morning and resumed in the afternoon.
