DYSSO Samba inaugurates Inter District Super-7 Cricket Tournament

Excelsior Sports CorrespondentSAMBA, Sept 17: District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO) Samba, Sunil Kumar inaugurated Inter District Division Level Under-19 Boys Super Seven Cricket Tournament at Maharaja Suchet Singh Stadium, here.The boys� final match was won by District Jammu defeating District Kathua in a close contest.Batting first, Kathua scored 58 runs in the stipulated 6 overs. Naresh Kumar and Shuvam contributed 11 and 9 runs respectively. For Jammu District, Aryan took 2 wickets.In reply, District Jammu achieved the target of 59 runs in a thrilling fashion on the last ball of the match. Shubam top scored with 29 runs in just 9 balls.Earlier, in District Kathua beat District Samba by 12 runs, while Jammu drubbed Poonch by 6 wickets .The matches were officiated by Chander Parkesh, Dhanraj Singh, Sandeep Singh, Daljeet Singh, Amit, Rakesh Charak and Deeraj Jamwal.
