CUJ Executive Council accords approval to several items

Excelsior Correspondent[caption id="attachment_330497" align="alignleft" width="300"] CUJ VC Prof Ashok Aima chairing Executive Council meeting on Monday.[/caption]JAMMU, Nov 9: 10th Executive Council meeting of Central University Jammu was held today wherein several important agenda items were accorded approval.Finance Committee, Annual Report and Annual Account were also presented in the meeting, which was chaired by Vice-Chancellor Prof Ashok Aima and attended by all the members, including Prof Amitabh Mattoo, Advisor to Chief Minister Mufti Mohd Sayed.The Executive Council accorded approval for constitution of� CUJ Court,� construction of Boys and� Girls hostels, conversion of� IQAC into Directorate of IQA, establishing of Placement Cell,� creation of posts like Editor, Cameraman and Producer in the Department of Mass Communication,� starting of new programs in the next academic session and� adoption of Choice Based Credit System (CBCS).Besides� Prof Amitabh Mattoo, the meeting was attended by Prof� Devraj (Vice-Chairman UGC),� Prof� Ashok Obra (Director APG School of Mass Communication, New Delhi), Prof� K L Chopra (former Director IIT Kharagpur),� Prof� Lokesh Verma ( Academic Co-ordinator CUJ),� Prof� Devanand (HoD CSE CUJ),� Prof� Deepak Raj Gupta (HoD TTM, CUJ), Dr� Jaya Bhasin (Head HRM) and� Jit Singh (Registrar CUJ).
