Centre has no role in grant of parole, prevent misuse : Rijiju

NEW DELHI, Mar 10:� The Centre has no role in granting parole or prevent its misuse, Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju informed the Lok Sabha today.Responded to a supplementary during Question Hour, he said, �Parole and jail management is a state subject.���� �However, on recommendations of various panels and bodies on jail reforms, the Centre forwards suggestions and advisories time to time,� he said when Shiv Sena Member Rahul Shewale said there was misuse of parole in the case of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt.��� �The court is there to see to it and decide, � Mr Rijiju said.
