Bootlegger held, illicit liquor seized

Excelsior Correspondent UDHAMPUR, Dec 7: Police today arrested a bootlegger near Tikri and seized 68 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession. The accused, namely Ramesh Chander of  Budi Dharamshala Dhannu,Udhampur, was intercepted by a Police party led by Inspector Sanjeev  Chib and SI Sanjeet Sharma,  under the supervision of  Kameshwar Puri, DySP Hqrs.Udhampur, at Dhanu- Muttal, Udhampur.   68 pouches of illicit liquor were recovered from his possession. Police arrested the accused and seized the recovered liquor. In this connection, a case FIR number  201/2017 under section  48(a) Excise Act has been  registered at PS  Rehambal.
