Bhimgarh Fort falls under domain of Archives Deptt: ASI

Excelsior Correspondent JAMMU, June 5: Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) today said that the Bhimgarh Fort located in Reasi district does not fall under its jurisdiction and its upkeep and maintenance is not its responsibility. “The Bhimgarh Fort is protected by Government of J&K and all issues related to conservation and maintenance is looked after by Department of Archives, Archaeology and Museums, Government of J&K,” the ASI said in a handout issued today.
