Accident victim succumbs

Excelsior Correspondent JAMMU, Sept 10: A victim of road accident today succumbed to his injuries here at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). According to a police spokesperson, a man identified as Rajesh Kumar (33) son of Rattan Chand, resident of Muthi Jageer (Kathua), was shifted here at GMCH on September 3 after he was badly injured in a road accident at Kathua. "However, the man succumbed to his injuries today at about 8 am. After completing all medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites", the spokesman said, adding, the concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
