1300 capsules seized in Assar

Excelsior Correspondent JAMMU, June 3: Assar police in Doda district today arrested a drug peddler and recovered 1300 capsules and 90 bottles of intoxicant syrup from his possession. The drug peddler has been identified as Mehraj-ud-Din Sheikh alias Tikka son of Abdul Latief Sheikh R/o Pasri Adda, Bhaderwah. Police said Tikka was arrested during a special naka laid by police at Assar this afternoon. From his possession, police recovered a consignment of 1300 capsules and 90 bottles, which were being smuggled by the accused from Jammu to Doda. Police parties headed by SHO Assar Inspector Ravinder Rakwal made the arrest. A case has been registered against the accused at Assar police station.
