11 gamblers arrested, Rs 4 lakh recovered

Excelsior CorrespondentSRINAGAR, June 21:� Anantnag Police today arrested 11 gamblers and recovered stake money of Rs 4 lakh from the gambling place in Ashmuqam in Anantnag.On a tip off, a police party of Police Station Ashmuqam raided a place at Ganeshpora and arrested 11 gamblers. A stake money of Rs 4 lakh was recovered from the spot besides few packs of playing cards.A case FIR No. 38/2014 under Section 13 Gambling Act was registered in Police Station Ashmuqam and investigation has been started.
