JAMMU, Feb 20: Chairman of J&K Grameen Bank (JKGB), RK Chhibber today inaugurated the new premises of the bank’s Akhnoor branch.
Speaking on the occasion, R K Chhibber informed that JKGB has 217 branches in J&K. He spoke about the various loan facilities provided by the bank. He added that the interest rates on loans and advances in JKGB are lowest amongst other banks.
“A number of new schemes have been introduced by the bank for financing under Agriculture/ Horticulture and setting up of industries in J&K. Bank has already financed various industrial units in SIDCO Complex, Samba”, he added.
General Manager, Romesh Vaid informed that JKGB is successfully conducting State wide campaign regarding Central Government’s social security schemes and claims 100 percent settlement in PMJJBY and PMSBY.
He also said that moving in trend with modern banking, bank is offering 24X7 cashless services of mobile banking, Rupay, Kissan, Debit cards and initiated process of deployment of PoS machines besides offering NEFT/RTGS, CTS, NACH-ECS, DBTL, PFMS & WUMT services. “Bank is about to introduce Micro ATMs, AePS and KYC”, he added.
Shri Shri Mahamandleshwar Mahant Rameshwar Dass was also present on the occasion. He cited various holy rituals for the benefit of bank and showered his blessings to all the staff members and customers of the bank.
