SRINAGAR, Aug 20: The newly elected body of Kashmir University Ministerial Staff Association (KUMSA) was sworn in by Dr M S Sumbli, Director, Convocation Complex Returning-cum-Presiding Officer here on Wednesday at KU.
The elections for the newly elected body were held on August 13.
The newly elected executive body comprises of Showkat Ahmad Khan as president, Farooq Ahmad Bhat, vice-president, Bashir Ahmad Shan, general secretary, Showkat Asmi, secretary, Mushtaq Ahmad Wani, publicity secretary, Fayaz Ahmad Hajam, organizer and Abdul Hamid Dar as treasurer.
The president highlighted the general problems being faced by the employee community and assured the general body the early settlement of the issues by the authorities.
The newly elected president said that Chancellor of the Universities will be requested for appointment of local Vice-Chancellor who will facilitate the requirements of the Kashmir University.
